New Delhi, 28 July (H.S.): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Central Government and the Bihar Government over the alleged firing with AK-47 rifles on protesting students in Bihar.

In a post on social media platform X, Kejriwal wrote, “What has happened to the government? Students in Bihar were fired upon with AK-47 rifles. Are these students terrorists?” Referring to Bihar’s political legacy, he added, “It was from the land of Bihar, under the leadership of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, that the slogan ‘Vacate the throne, the people are coming’ echoed across the country.” He said the government must answer the questions being raised by students.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also targeted the Centre over the incident, asserting that it was not merely an “alleged” episode. He claimed that videos clearly showed students being fired upon with AK-47 rifles.

Questioning the Central Government and Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Singh asked, “Are these students terrorists that AK-47 rifles are being used against them?” He further alleged that students in the national capital had earlier faced pellet guns, tear gas, and baton charges, leaving nearly 500 of them injured, and claimed that AK-47 rifles were now being used against students in Bihar.

He described the situation as deeply disturbing and questioned the nature of governance that allowed such actions.
