Guwahati, 24 July (HS): Flood-hit Rukminigaon and several areas of Guwahati City remains submerged, with water levels still reaching upto chest height in several pockets, leaving many families confined to their homes as the situation shows little sign of improvement.

Amid the continuing crisis, Civil Defence personnel have been carrying out rescue and relief operations by deploying rubber boats to access waterlogged neighbourhoods. The teams are visiting homes one by one, delivering assistance to stranded residents and helping ensure their safety as flooding persists.-----------
