(HS): Richness of ancient Indian Vedic knowledge which is gradually being

studied, understood and proved on parameters of modern science is being spread

along with the present education system. Coordination between modern science

and technology and Vedic knowledge is being established through serious efforts

by some organisations including Nagpur based Jagatguru Shri Devnath Institute

of Vedic Science and Research (JSDIVSR).

Albert Einstein

had said ‘science without spirituality is meaningless’, which is embedded in

the Ved and Puranas. Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasis

is laid on connecting modern education with spirituality by simplifying Vedic

knowledge.

Even the modern

terms like electricity, magnetism can be found in Vedas, which were written by

Rishis and Munis several centuries ago. These Rishis and Munis were scientists

of that era and noted their findings after carrying outs experiments. The

difference with modern research is of only language and terms used in the

language that was used in that era.

Under Mission

for Development and Divinity Trust founded by Jitendranath Maharaj from Devnath

Math, Anjangaon Surji in Maharashtra’s Amravati District, JSDIVRS planned to

train teachers first so that the Indian knowledge base can be disseminated

among their students. The Institute of so far trained more than 5000 teachers across

India under All India Faculty Training programme. This includes states like

Jammu and Kashmir.

In order to

understand the basics of Ved, Puranas and other related branches of penned

during the period JSDIVRS introduced short term certificate courses in Vedic Studies,

Puarana, Bhagwatgeeta and Ayurved which is not only study of medicines but life

science. These courses can be pursued by anyone and are available online.

Several engineers

and technocrats joined this mission by JSDIVRS. The head of the research wing,

Anurag Deshpande, left his job as a professor with D Y Patil University to join

this mission in 2018. Talking to Hindusthan Samachar, he said many teachers are

not satisfied with the existing education system and looking for other avenues.

Many others

joined the mission as Vedic culture is not related only to ‘Human Welfare’ and

does not mention any caste or religion

JSDIVRS has

entered MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to establish Indian Knowledge Centres

with many universities and IITs and IIMs. The first institute to sign the MoU

was Shri Shri University in Cuttak, Odisha. The MoU with RTM Nagpur University

was renewed a couple of day ago. The Indian Knowledge Centres (IKC) promotes

research using modern scientific development with the knowledge base in ancient

Indian Vedic literature.

Besides Anurag

Deshpande former Chairman of AICTE Anil Sahastrabuddhe has also joined the

mission.

JSDIVRS is set

to sign MoU with the Maharashtra Government’s Faculty Development Programme for

furthering the revival of ancient spiritual base Indian scientific knowledge.
