Guwahati, 14 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday informed the Assembly that revenue circles will now function within the respective Assembly constituencies.

The Chief Minister clarified that no existing revenue circle has been withdrawn from any constituency. He also announced that the state government will soon establish 14 new Circle Officer offices to strengthen the administrative setup.

Dr. Sarma said the decision to set up the new offices is expected to be taken by the state government within the current week. He made these remarks while addressing the House.-----------
