
Ayodhya/Lucknow, 14 July (HS): Acting on information from
the Ayodhya unit of Military Intelligence, Lucknow, the Government Railway
Police (GRP) Ayodhya Cantt arrested the fake army officer. Military
Intelligence had been receiving information for some time that the Ayodhya and
in the nearby districts, an army officer is often seen in the railway station
and cantonment area, who introduces himself as an artillery officer and canteen
in-charge in the Dogra Regiment and often roams around in trains and railway
stations in different uniforms.
The Military Intelligence Ayodhya team became active and,
based on information gathering, evidence, and technical data, confirmed that
the man was not in the Army, but a fake officer, misusing Army uniforms and
documents. In the same sequence, GRP Ayodhya was informed on Tuesday about a
man wearing an Army uniform at the Ayodhya Cantt railway station. The fake Army
officer was arrested today by GRP Ayodhya.
The police said that in the documents recovered from the
arrested person, he has given his name as Karan Yadav, father Uday Bhan Singh
Yadav, village Gahmar, district Ghazipur and the Aadhar card was also found in
the same name. The GRP station in-charge said that after strict interrogation,
he gave his correct address as Surendra Nishad, father Late Sharda Nishad,
village Mohpariya Balua, Pakdi, district Chandauli. A large quantity of army
uniforms, name plates, ribbons, ATM, Aadhar, identity card covers and credit
cards were recovered from him.
