Guwahati, 14 July (HS): BJP MLA Manab Deka on Tuesday alleged in the Assam Legislative Assembly that a new form of terrorism has emerged in the state, which he termed as Facebook terrorism.

Participating in the discussion in the House, Deka claimed that some people spread misinformation and false narratives on Facebook to create a misleading perception about Assam.

He said such posts attempt to tarnish the image of the state by circulating unverified and misleading information on social media and stressed the need to counter such misinformation.---------------
