Imphal, 11 July (HS): Security forces in Manipur carried out several successful operations over the last 24 hours. Official sources inform today that joint forces arrested a hard-core rebel of the RPF/PLA, identified as Shaikhom Sunil Singh alias Ibohal (45), from Wangbal near Lamboithong under Thoubal Police Station in Thoubal district on July 10. An Alto car was also seized during the operation.

In a separate development, Manipur Police recovered a stolen Royal Enfield Hunter motorcycle in Churachandpur district on July 10. The recovery followed specific inputs received from Bawnkawn Police Station in Aizawl, Mizoram, indicating that the stolen bike had been transported to Manipur.

Meanwhile, security forces arrested three persons with approximately 68 grams of suspected heroin powder after intercepting an autorickshaw (MN-01AM-1026) at Gelmol Lamkhai under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district in another operation. The arrested individuals were identified as Ebem (39) of Lilong in Thoubal district, Hussain (20) of Imphal West district, and Md. Nasimulla (40) of Thoubal district. The seized contraband and the accused have been handed over for further legal proceedings.------------
