Mumbai, 11 July (HS): A total of 14 official bills

were passed during the Monsoon Session of the State Legislature, while the 15th

bill was withdrawn. The session started on June 22 concluded on Friday. The next

winter session will be held in Nagpur from December 7, Speaker Rahul Narvekar

announced. The proposal relating to date of winter session will be submitted to

the Governor for his consent.

Narvekar informed that during the session the

proceedings lasted for 133.44 hours during the 15 sittings, while 45 minutes

were wasted. The business transacted include one Congratulatory motion and

seven condolence Resolutions. Out of 8722 starred questions received 579 were

accepted and discussions on 92 were held. Out of eight notices discussions on

seven were held. A total of 181 notices pertaining to public interest were

received 42 were accepted and discussion on only five were held. Members moved

2481 Call Attention Motions, of which 511 were admitted and discussion on 152

were held in the House.
