Bajali, 07 June (HS): Three suspected Bangladeshi nationals were detained by local residents in Assam's Bajali district after they were found moving under suspicious circumstances in the Pathshala area.

According to local sources on Sunday, residents of Ward No. 2 in Pathshala became suspicious of the trio and subsequently detained them before informing the authorities.

During preliminary questioning by locals, the individuals reportedly stated that they had come in search of work, claiming that many others also enter for employment opportunities.

Police have taken note of the incident and further verification of their identities and nationality is underway. Authorities are investigating the matter to ascertain the facts and determine whether the individuals entered the country legally.----------
