
Deoria, 07 June (HS): With the aim of promoting
environmental protection and green development, a special tree plantation
program was organized in Gram Sabha Pakha on Sunday. Uttar Pradesh Agriculture
Minister Surya Pratap Shahi planted saplings on Sunday and appealed to people
to plant more and more trees. Mango, Pakad, and Peepal trees were planted in
the Chaturbhuj Bhagwan Temple complex. Organized on the initiative of the
Climate Change Department, the Agriculture Minister, along with local public
representatives and activists, planted trees and conveyed the message of
collective responsibility for environmental protection.
On this occasion, extensive tree planting was also carried
out along the Khanua River to enhance the greenery of the riverbank.
Additionally, the river near the temple was cleaned to further the joint effort
towards cleanliness and environmental protection.
BJP Mandal President Jipu Shahi, Tarkulwa Block Chief
Ramashish Gupta, Nagar Panchayat President Kranti Singh, and numerous public
representatives participated in the program. District Panchayat member Sujit
Pratap Singh, BJP Vice President Ajay Shahi, Mahiwal Jaiswal, Pintu Sarkar,
Dayanand Shastri, and a large number of local residents were also present. The
speakers said that tree plantation is not just a campaign, but a resolution to
give a safe and clean environment to the coming generations.
