Bhubaneswar, 07 June (H.S.): Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Bhakta Charan Das has criticised the recent ₹29 increase in the price of domestic LPG cylinders, describing it as a direct blow to poor and middle-class families already struggling with rising living costs.

In a social media post, Das said that the hike would place an additional burden on household budgets, particularly affecting kitchen expenses for economically vulnerable sections of society. He noted that at a time when people are grappling with inflation and rising prices of essential commodities, the government should be providing relief rather than imposing further financial strain.

The Congress leader alleged that the government's policies have contributed to increasing hardship for ordinary citizens. He said the continued rise in the cost of essential goods and services is making daily life increasingly difficult for common people.
