
Bhubaneswar, 07 June (H.S.) : The Odisha Higher Education Department has announced a Free Residential UPSC Civil Services Coaching Programme for the 2026–27 academic session, aimed at preparing 200 aspirants from the state for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations.
According to an official notification issued on Sunday, the online application process will begin on June 8, 2026. The initiative is designed to provide structured, intensive coaching along with residential facilities to selected candidates preparing for both the Preliminary and Main stages of the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
The programme will offer 11 months of focused training covering General Studies and optional subjects as per the UPSC syllabus. Officials said the initiative is intended to provide comprehensive academic guidance and exam-oriented preparation to improve success rates among Odisha’s aspirants.
A key feature of the scheme is its fully residential nature. The state government will bear the cost of accommodation and meals, ensuring that selected candidates can focus entirely on their preparation without financial burden.
Admission to the programme will be based on a pre-qualifying entrance examination scheduled for June 28, 2026. Only domiciles of Odisha are eligible to apply. Candidates can submit their applications online through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal, with a registration fee of ₹100.
The application window will remain open from June 8 at 11:00 AM until June 19 at 11:45 PM. Applicants will be allowed to edit their submitted forms on June 20. Admit cards will be issued from June 24 through the SAMS and HIMS portals.
The provisional answer key will be released on June 29, followed by a window for objections on July 2 and July 3. The revised answer key is scheduled for publication on July 8.
The Higher Education Department stated that further details regarding the final selection list, document verification, admission process, and commencement of coaching classes will be announced in due course.
