
Guwahati, 07 June (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday announced the allocation of Guardian Districts among the ministers of the state government. The decision aims to strengthen coordination between the state administration and district authorities for faster implementation of development initiatives across Assam.
According to the allocation, Minister Rameswar Teli has been assigned Tinsukia and Jorhat, while Atul Bora will oversee Kamrup (Metro) and Dhemaji. Chandan Boro has been given charge of Kokrajhar, Baksa and Chirang and Ajanta Neog will serve as Guardian Minister for Morigaon and Kamrup districts.
Ashok Singhal has been allotted Darrang and Dhubri, Bimal Bora will oversee Sivasagar and Charaideo and Biswajit Daimary has been assigned to Nalbari and Sonitpur. Jayanta Mallabarua will supervise Tamulpur and Goalpara, while Kaushik Rai has been entrusted with Sribhumi and Hailakandi.
Keshab Mahanta has been allocated South Salmara-Mankachar and North Lakhimpur, Krishnendu Paul will oversee Dima Hasao and Cachar, and Nilima Devi has been assigned Bajali and Udalguri. Pijush Hazarika will be responsible for Nagaon, Hojai, Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong, while Dr. Ranoj Pegu has been allotted Biswanath and Golaghat. Susanta Borgohain will oversee Majuli and Dibrugarh districts.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the ministers would work closely with district administrations to accelerate development and ensure effective implementation of government policies. He said the initiative would further strengthen Assam’s journey towards progress and prosperity.-----------
