Kokrajhar (Assam), 04 June (HS): A man identified as Faulus Basumatary lost his life after being trampled by a wild elephant at Somliguri village under Kumarikata area, creating grief among local residents and family members.

Following the tragic incident, BTC Deputy Chief Bijit Gaura Narzary visited the bereaved family and expressed his condolences on Thursday. He stood by the family during their difficult time and assured them of support.

As a gesture of assistance, Narzary provided financial aid to the victim's family and conveyed his sympathies, stating that efforts would be made to help them cope with the loss. The incident has once again highlighted the growing human-elephant conflict in several parts of the Bodoland Territorial Region.----------
