Kanpur/Lucknow, 04 June (HS): Speaking to media
representatives in Kanpur on Thursday, State Higher Education Minister and
Kanpur-in-Charge Yogendra Upadhyay said that under the leadership of Prime
Minister Narendra Modi, the central government is about to complete 12 years
dedicated to service, good governance, and welfare of the poor.
Giving details of the preparations and outline of the various programs to be
organized on this occasion, he said that the 12 years of the Modi government
have been years of India's progress, self-confidence, and global prestige.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established a
new benchmark in public service by providing long and successful leadership in
both the positions of Chief Minister and Prime Minister. Under his leadership,
India has carved a distinct identity for itself on the world stage. Once
considered a laggard among developing nations, India has now become the world's
fourth-largest economy. This is a testament to the country's growing strength
and global influence.
Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya said that during the Modi
government's tenure, many bold and historic decisions were taken in the
national interests, which were never even imagined. Steps like the abrogation
of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the surgical strike against terrorism, air
strikes, and Operation Sindoor have given new strength to India's security
policy. These decisions sent the message that India will not compromise on its
sovereignty and security.
He said that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India's
spiritual, cultural, and mythological consciousness has undergone a
renaissance. The construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya,
the redevelopment of Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines, and the beautification of
several major pilgrimage sites, including Somnath, have given a new identity to
the country's cultural heritage. These projects have boosted religious tourism
and energized the local economy.
The Minister of Higher Education stated that in the economic
sector, the successful implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and
important decisions such as demonetization played a crucial role in making the
country's economy organized and transparent. They also effectively curbed
counterfeit currency and terrorist financing. He stated that unprecedented
progress has been made in the development of the country's infrastructure over
the past 12 years. The expansion of new expressways, national highways,
flyovers, airports, and railway infrastructure has rapidly propelled India
towards modern development. Connecting rural areas to highway and expressway
networks has given a new impetus to economic activity, bringing the benefits of
development to the villages.
Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya stated that through the Digital
India campaign, India has achieved remarkable achievements in the technological
field. India has become one of the world's leading countries in the field of
digital payments. The country is rapidly advancing in the fields of artificial
intelligence (AI), innovation, and semiconductor manufacturing, realizing the
goal of a self-reliant India.
He added that the Modi government's tenure has also been
historic in terms of public welfare schemes. Schemes like the Pradhan Mantri
Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib
Kalyan Anna Yojana, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Jan Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission,
and Har Ghar Bijli have improved the living standards of millions of people.
These schemes have connected the poor, farmers, women, laborers, and
underprivileged sections to the mainstream of development. He said that today
the government is not just implementing schemes, but is seen standing with
citizens like family members. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana is providing financial
security for serious illnesses, while the Housing Scheme has given millions of
families the opportunity to live a dignified life.
Minister Upadhyay said that under Prime Minister Modi's
leadership, India has undergone a comprehensive transformation in the last 12
years. Today, India's voice is heard seriously on the world stage, and the
country's reputation is steadily growing. Under the Prime Minister's
leadership, India has entered a new era of self-confidence, development, good
governance, and public welfare.
