
Pune, 30 June (HS): Siya Goel and Chetan Chaudhari, involved in Ketan Agrawal
murder case, have been granted police custody up to July 3. Both were arrested on
June 23 in connection with Ketan Agrawal’s murder case in Pune’s Lohagadh
region on June 18. They were presented in the court on Monday following expiry
of their police remand. The Court extended the police custody till July 3.
Police are verifying mobile data of Siya and Chetan.
Siya, who was not ready to go to Bali for a pre-wedding shoot with
Chetan destroyed her passport to avoid it. Police demanded custody for seven
days, which court reduced to four days. Siya’s lawyer argued that for technical
investigation police custody is not required.
Son of a renowned businessman Ketan’s marriage was finalised with Siya.
He fell into a ravine from Lohagadh Fort while taking a photograph and died.
Initially police registered a case of accidental death. Further investigation
led to suspicion of Ketan’s murder. Siya and her friend Chetan were then
arrested for interrogation.
