
Karbi Anglong, 30 June (HS): A grenade was allegedly thrown at an under-construction railway project near the Assam–Nagaland border in Karbi Anglong district, but the explosive failed to detonate, leaving no casualties or damage, police officials said on Tuesday.
The incident reportedly took place on Monday afternoon at the Rongafar siding in the Dhansiri area, where railway construction work is currently underway. According to officials, the grenade landed at the site but did not explode, ensuring the safety of workers and preventing any damage to the infrastructure.
Following the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the attack and working to identify those responsible. Security agencies have not yet disclosed any motive behind the incident, and further investigation is in progress.-----------
