Lucknow, 27 June (HS): The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh
has taken a major step towards providing new employment opportunities to the
youth of the state at the global level and equipping them with advanced
technology. Implementing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision of 'self-reliance
through skill development', the state government, in collaboration with Tata
Technologies Limited (TTL), has given the green signal to conduct
state-of-the-art courses in 149 Government Industrial Training Institutes
(ITIs) and 01 Regional Staff Training and Research Centre, Aliganj-Lucknow.
State Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational
Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, stated
that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state's
technical education is being upgraded. In this regard, the Governor has
approved the outsourcing of 1,065 manpower positions for the smooth operation
of modern courses developed by Tata Motors. This will involve the services of
171 Workshop Instructors and 894 Instructors across the state.
Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal said that the Yogi government is
committed to providing employment to the youth and maintaining transparency in
the system. All these 1,065 services will be purchased through the prescribed
process through the GeM Portal on the basis of 'Job Outsourcing'. The service
provider agency will be selected in a completely independent, impartial and
transparent manner, in light of the provisions of the Government Orders and
relevant rules of the Personnel Department, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
Department and the Labor Department. The educational qualifications etc. for
these posts will be determined by the Training Directorate and approved by the
government. This order has been issued after the approval of the Finance
Department.
In collaboration with Tata Technologies, the youth of the
state will now be trained in areas of demand for the Fourth Industrial
Revolution (Industry 4.0), apart from traditional courses. Nine cutting-edge
courses such as Electric Vehicle Mechanic, Industrial Robotics and Digital
Manufacturing Technician, Advanced CNC Machining Technician, Manufacturing
Process Control and Automation, Industrial Internet of Things Technician,
Additive Manufacturing Technician/3D Printing, CAM Programmer, Basic Designer
and Virtual Verifier-Mechanical and Artisan Using Advanced Tools are being
conducted in these institutes.
These courses, conducted in collaboration with Tata
Technologies, will prepare the state's youth to meet the needs of global
companies. Students graduating from ITI will be able to find excellent
employment packages not only within the country but also abroad. The Yogi
government aims to make Uttar Pradesh the country's largest skill
hub, and this step will prove to be a milestone in that direction.
