Lucknow, 27 June (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath shows high admiration for Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, who

routinely pays floral tributes to the creator of the national song 'Vande

Mataram'. CM Yogi has decided that all schools and educational institutions in

Uttar Pradesh make singing 'Vande Mataram' obligatory in order to foster

national pride. He regularly uses the writer's legacy to promote the 'Ek Bharat

Shreshtha Bharat' agenda, describing the national song as the soul of

India and a central slogan of the liberation movement.

Adityanath frequently commemorates Chattopadhyay on his

birth and death anniversaries, recognizing his significant contribution to

cultural consciousness. Yogi praises Chattopadhyay with offering the greatest

rallying cry against the British, denouncing all historical and present attempts

to dishonor the national anthem.

in a post on X, he stated, “On the birth anniversary of

Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the creator of the immortal national anthem

'Vande Mataram', a humble tribute. His works, which instilled self-respect and
