
Lucknow, 27 June (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath shows high admiration for Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, who
routinely pays floral tributes to the creator of the national song 'Vande
Mataram'. CM Yogi has decided that all schools and educational institutions in
Uttar Pradesh make singing 'Vande Mataram' obligatory in order to foster
national pride. He regularly uses the writer's legacy to promote the 'Ek Bharat
Shreshtha Bharat' agenda, describing the national song as the soul of
India and a central slogan of the liberation movement.
Adityanath frequently commemorates Chattopadhyay on his
birth and death anniversaries, recognizing his significant contribution to
cultural consciousness. Yogi praises Chattopadhyay with offering the greatest
rallying cry against the British, denouncing all historical and present attempts
to dishonor the national anthem.

Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the creator of the immortal national anthem
'Vande Mataram', a humble tribute. His works, which instilled self-respect and
patriotism and infused new energy into the freedom struggle, will remain
forever immortal.”
