Jhansi, 21 June (HS): Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of

Uttar Pradesh, commemorated International Yoga Day at the historic Jhansi Fort.

He led state-level yoga sessions focused on the theme of Healthy Ageing and

praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for securing global recognition for

India's traditional wellness practices. The main event was held at the historic

Jhansi Fort (Khande Rao Gate area), where the CM was joined by cabinet

ministers, local public representatives, and thousands of enthusiastic

participants.

The Chief Minister Yogi urged citizens to incorporate yoga

into their daily routine. He credited PM Narendra Modi's vision at the United

Nations with transforming an ancient practice into a global movement,

emphasizing its impact on preventive healthcare and physical fitness. District

magistrates, local administrators, and ministers were deployed throughout Uttar

Pradesh to lead yoga camps in public parks, riverbanks, and community grounds.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath says, We are all

grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has given global recognition to

India's traditions and heritage, and has presented a vision for all of us,

allowing 140 crore Indians to move forward with pride in the world, and to

realise the vision of Viksit Bharat. You would have seen that the Prime

Minister personally travels to different states each year to help these International

Yoga Day activities reach new heights of success. It is my excellent fortune to

be able to participate in this year's International Yoga Day event on this

historic site in Jhansi.” Yogi Adityanath was honored with a sapling on stage

at the International Day of Yoga ceremony held at Jhansi Fort Ground.

Meanwhile, UP CM remarked in a post on X, “On the occasion

of the 12th International Yoga Day, after participating in the collective yoga

practice program organized today in the district of Jhansi, I will also

inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 88 development projects costing

more than Rs. 697 crore in the valorous land of Alha-Udal, Mahoba, and 75

development projects costing more than Rs. 636 crore in Hamirpur, the historic

center of Bundelkhand. Today's day will be dedicated to the consciousness of

yoga, the commitment to development, and the boundless possibilities of

Bundelkhand.”
