(HS): Three members of a family were murdered on Monday night in Kukarkatwa
village, under the Meja police station area of Prayagraj district, Uttar
Pradesh. Police officials arrived at the scene on Tuesday after receiving
information and have launched an investigation.

Chandra Yadav said that the bodies of Shyam Lal Gupta (60), Amravati Devi (40),
and Indravati Devi (42), residents of Kukarhata village in the Meja police
station area, were found outside their home on Tuesday morning, covered in
blood. The police team, responding to the information, took the bodies into custody
and began an investigation. All three victims had severe head injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest they were killed by striking them with a
heavy object.
During the investigation, it was learned that all
the family members live outside for work. When local residents found the bodies
of the three people lying outside their home on Tuesday morning, they
immediately informed the police.

Chandra Yadav said that as soon as the information was received, Meja police,
forensic teams, and senior officers arrived at the scene. The scene was closely
inspected and necessary evidence is being collected. Given the seriousness of
the case, special police teams have been formed.
The police are investigating all possible aspects
of the incident. Nearby residents are being questioned, and the investigation
is also being carried out based on technical and scientific evidence. Several
police teams have been deployed to identify and arrest the culprits. The police
are committed to a swift and successful investigation of the incident. Further
legal action will be taken based on the facts obtained during the
investigation.
