Badrinath/Kedarnath, 15 June (HS): Industrialist Mukesh Ambani on Monday visited the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines in Uttarakhand and offered prayers for the country's prosperity and well-being.

According to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), Ambani first visited Badrinath Dham and offered prayers at the temple of Lord Badri Vishal before proceeding to Kedarnath Dham, where he paid obeisance at the shrine of Lord Kedarnath.

During the visit, Ambani donated Rs 10 crore to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee for temple-related arrangements and development works.

The committee said he handed over two cheques of Rs 5 crore each, earmarked for Badrinath and Kedarnath respectively.

BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said the Ambani family has deep faith in the two Himalayan shrines and has extended support to the temple committee on earlier occasions as well.

Temple committee officials welcomed Ambani at both shrines and expressed gratitude for his contribution.
