Chennai, 20 May (H.S.):Tamil Nadu has once again delivered a strong performance in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations, with the state registering an overall pass percentage of 94.31 per cent in the Class 10 board examinations for the academic year 2025–26. The results were officially announced by the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) on Wednesday, bringing an end to weeks of anxious anticipation for students and parents across the state.

More than nine lakh students who appeared for the public examinations can now access their scores through multiple digital and offline platforms arranged by the state government to ensure smooth and timely result distribution.

The Class 10 public examinations were conducted across Tamil Nadu between March and April at centres spread throughout the state. Considered one of the most important academic milestones in a student’s educational journey, the SSLC examination plays a crucial role in determining future academic choices and higher secondary admissions.

Students can access and download their provisional marksheets through official portals including tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in, Digilocker and the UMANG platform. Candidates are required to enter their registration number and date of birth in the prescribed fields to view their results online.

Education department officials have advised students to keep their hall ticket details readily available while checking their results. Authorities also cautioned that temporary delays may occur because of heavy online traffic as lakhs of students are expected to access the websites simultaneously.

Apart from online access, schools across Tamil Nadu have been directed to provide result assistance and help students obtain their scores directly from their institutions.

To ensure wider accessibility and reduce dependence on online portals, the government has also arranged SMS-based result notifications. School students will receive updates on the mobile numbers registered with their schools, while private candidates will receive result information through the phone numbers submitted during the application process.

Officials said the multi-platform system was introduced to minimise server congestion and ensure a seamless result experience for students across both urban and rural areas of the state.
