New Delhi, 20 May (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with several ministers of the Delhi government, has criticised Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for allegedly using indecent language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. They termed his remarks as a clear sign of “deep frustration” and said he should apologise to the nation for his statements.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister said that spreading division and hatred has always been the real politics of the Congress. She added that leaders and parties that themselves carry the “stain of Emergency and a history of corruption” are today preaching nationalism. She said Rahul Gandhi’s negative agenda and alleged conspiracy to defame the country have now been fully exposed before the public, and asserted that the aware citizens of the country would never accept such insulting politics.

Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said that the repeated use of abusive and irresponsible language by Congress leaders against the country’s top leadership reflects their political frustration. In a post on X, he said that when the Congress has been repeatedly rejected by the people through democratic means, it resorts to such language to divert attention.

He further said that the country has witnessed the Congress party’s divisive politics, corruption, and misuse of power for decades. At a time when India is moving forward under strong global leadership, the Congress is unable to accept the public mandate. He added that Rahul Gandhi should understand that while disagreement is part of democracy, maintaining dignity towards constitutional positions such as the Prime Minister and Home Minister is the responsibility of every political party.

Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Rahul Gandhi’s words reflect a “narrow mindset and deep-rooted hatred.” Posting a video on X, he said that Rahul Gandhi is “an incapable person” who has been “forcibly placed on a position he is not deserving of due to dynastic politics.” He further demanded that Rahul Gandhi should apologise to the people of the country for his remarks.
