Bhubaneswar, 20 May (H.S.): The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha on Wednesday announced the results of the annual Plus Two examinations for all streams, recording an overall pass percentage of 85.85 per cent this year.

The results were officially declared by Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond. The overall pass percentage has improved by 2.4 percentage points compared to last year’s 83.45 per cent.

According to data released by CHSE, the Science stream registered the highest pass percentage at 88.80 per cent, closely followed by Commerce at 88.07 per cent. The Arts stream recorded a pass percentage of 84.50 per cent, while the Vocational Education stream achieved 77.62 per cent.

This year, a total of 4,01,623 students from Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Education streams had registered for the examinations. Out of them, 3,98,090 students appeared for the examinations conducted across 3,082 centres in the state.

The highest number of candidates appeared from the Arts stream with 2,54,119 examinees, followed by 1,13,826 students in Science, 24,289 in Commerce and 5,856 in Vocational Education.

The evaluation process was conducted at 51 centres across Odisha, involving nearly 15,000 teachers engaged in the assessment of answer sheets.

The council also announced the introduction of improvement examinations from this academic year, enabling students to enhance their scores after the publication of results. These examinations are expected to be conducted simultaneously with the instant examinations, likely during the first week of July.

Students can access their results from 3 PM onwards on the official websites of CHSE Odisha and Odisha Results Portal.
