Imphal, 20 May (HS): Following an investigation into an FIR registered at Lamphel Police Station regarding a vehicle theft from the RIMS campus, Manipur Police arrested one accused identified as Bogimayum Imaran Khan (32) of Irong Chesaba in Thoubal district, Official sources informed on Wednesday.

Police said the accused was apprehended from Anjuman Healing Centre located at Lilong Dam in Thoubal district on May 19. Further investigation into the vehicle theft case is currently underway.

In a separate operation conducted, Manipur Police arrested two residents of Liwa Leikun Village, Liwa Sarei in Chandel district from the Pallel Laimanai Chingjin area under Kakching Police Station in Kakching district.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Th. Vini (52) and Ayola Shinglai (55). During the operation, police recovered 288 SP capsules and two mobile phones from their possession.

Police have initiated further legal action in connection with the seizures and arrests.----------
