02 May (HS): The Uttar Pradesh Clay Art Board is organizing a 15-day
craftsmanship training program to promote skill development among traditional
artisans and crafts people. This training will be conducted through the
District Village Industries Office, Lucknow, at the Divisional Village
Industries Training Center, Daliganj, Lucknow. Under the program, trainees will
receive practical training in making everyday items, decorative items, toys,
and sculptures, as well as cutting, painting, and engraving on clay products.
The training will be completely residential, with free accommodation and meals
for participants. Additionally, each trainee will receive an honorarium of Rs. 250
per day.
Traditional
artisans, sculptors and other clay art practitioners interested in applying for
the training can apply online on the scheme's official website,
upmatikalaboard.in. After applying online, candidates must submit their
applications to the District Village Industries Office, 8 Cantt Road,
Kaiserbagh, Lucknow, by May 20, 2026. Photocopies of their Aadhaar card, ration
card, photograph, educational certificate (marksheet), and bank passbook must
be attached with the application.
