
Mumbai, 02 May (HS): Senior singers Usha Mangeshkar
and Hariharan, renowned Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, actress Sushama Deshpande, senior
journalist Rahi Bhide and social workers Datta Bargaje and Sandhya Bargaje were
honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards on Maharashtra Day. The awards were
conferred at the hands of Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.
Afternoon Voice had organised 18th
Newsmaker Achievers award function in Mumbai. Senior Bharatnatyam exponent Dr
Sandhya Purecha, actor and expert in advertising field Bharat Dabholkar, Editor
of Afternoon Voice Dr Vaidehi Taman and Governor’s Secretary Dr Prashant
Narnavre were the guests.
Relying to the felicitation Sanjeev Kapoor said homemade
food is always better as it is prepared with love. Food outside is served as a
business. Hariharan presented the popular song ‘Tuhi re, tere bina mai kaise …’.
Varma said Maharashtra is leading in industry,
culture, good governance and social development. While facing the challenges determination,
honesty and values are important factors. Those honoured today are examples of
these values.
