
Siliguri, 19 May (H.S.): West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari is scheduled to visit North Bengal on Wednesday and will hold an important administrative meeting at Uttarkanya in Siliguri.
According to administrative sources, senior officials from different districts of North Bengal are expected to attend the meeting. Important issues related to law and order, implementation of government schemes and regional development are likely to be discussed in detail.
Preparations for the visit are underway on a large scale. The Uttarkanya premises are being decorated with banners, festoons and other arrangements, while security measures have been significantly tightened. Authorities are closely monitoring all aspects of the preparations ahead of the visit.
On Tuesday, several senior BJP leaders visited Uttarkanya to inspect the arrangements and review the preparations. Political observers believe the meeting could prove significant in boosting administrative coordination and accelerating development initiatives across North Bengal.
