Mirzapur,

19 May (HS): In a major action, the police have filed a case under the Gangster

Act against 10 accused in connection with the alleged illegal religious

conversions and blackmailing of young women through a gym in the Kotwali Dehat

police station area of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, all

the accused were involved in criminal activities by forming an organized gang.

This

action was taken as part of a campaign against criminals under the direction of

Superintendent of Police Aparna Rajat Kaushik. According to the police, serious

facts came to light during the investigation of two previously filed cases at

Kotwali Dehat police station. A charge sheet has been filed in the court under

various sections of the BNS, the IT Act, and the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of

Religious Conversion Act.

Police

investigations have revealed that gang leader Imran Khan, along with his

associates, lured young women under the pretext of training at a gym. They were

allegedly lured into sexual relationships and blackmailed by taking

objectionable photos and videos. They also allege extortion and forced

religious conversion.

Based

on the investigation by Inspector-in-Charge Amit Kumar Mishra, a case has been

registered at Kotwali Dehat police station under the Gangsters and Anti-Social

Activities (Prevention) Act. Additional Superintendent of Police City Ritesh
