respect to the literary titan, describing him as a visionary who raised public
awareness by presenting Indian heritage, history, and philosophy in a modern
context. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath frequently honors Acharya
Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, a respected Hindi litterateur and scholar, on his birth
and death anniversaries. CM Yogi regularly lauds Dwivedi's scholarly
contributions to Hindi literature and Indian philosophy.
In
a post on X, UP CM remarked, “In the beacon of Hindi literature, the renowned
litterateur, 'Padma Bhushan' Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, through his
writings, presented Indian tradition, history, and philosophy from a modern
perspective, awakening the public consciousness. His creative works connect us
to intellect, sensitivity, and cultural awareness. On the death anniversary of
such a visionary sage, humble homage.”
Acharya
Hazari Prasad Dwivedi (1907–1979) was a famous writer, critic, and historian of
Hindi literature. He made major scholarly contributions to Indian culture
through his research on medieval religious movements, notably his highly
praised book on the history and ideas of the Nath Sampradaya (a group closely
related to Yogi Adityanath's Gorakhnath Math).
