
Pune/Latur, 18 May (HS): Founder and Director of
popular Renukaai Chemistry Classes (RCC), Shivraj Motegaonkar has been remanded
to CBI custody for nine days by a court in Pune. CBI has claimed that
Motegaonkar received the NEET-UG paper ten days before the date of the
examination.
CBI arrested Motegaonkar and interrogate him on
Sunday, as 42 questions in mock test conducted by RCC appeared verbatim in the
NEET examination. CBI also found leaked question paper in his mobile phone ten
days in advance. Other electronic gadgets from RCC office were also seized by
the CBI.
Motegaonkar’s RCC is very popular in Maharashtra for
NEET preparations. RCC has several branches in the state attracting thousands of
students. His connection with other suspects in the racket is being
investigated.
The NEET-UG examination was conducted across the
nation on May 3. The National Testing Agency has cancelled the examination and announced
June 21 as date for the re-examination.
