Guwahati, 18 May (HS): Senior AIUDF leader newly elected MLA and former Lok Sabha MP Badruddin Ajmal has reportedly fallen ill and is currently undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Jaslok Hospital. Sources said Ajmal was admitted to the hospital after his health condition deteriorated.

According to party insiders, Ajmal was scheduled to leave for the annual Hajj pilgrimage on May 21. However, following his illness and subsequent hospitalisation, uncertainty now looms over his planned journey.

Meanwhile, supporters, well-wishers and party workers from different parts of Assam have expressed concern over his health condition and prayed for his speedy recovery.-----------
