Gorakhpur, 17 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Sunday that Congress began its appeasement tactics even before the Constitution was ratified or the country held its first election, which resulted in the country's partition. India's Constitution was drafted on November 26, 1949, and enacted on January 26, 1950, when parliamentary democracy was established in the country. However, even before the first general election, Congress began appeasement tactics, which resulted in the country's partition, Adityanath claimed. The Constitution had not yet been fully implemented when Congress launched appeasement politics, he remarked while addressing the first session of the BJP's district training camp at a resort near Tenua Toll Plaza in Gorakhpur.

According to a statement from the Uttar Pradesh administration, Adityanath stated that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the time saw the need for a political party that could contribute to India's nationalism and a brighter future. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, who resigned from the Union Cabinet, became the Bharatiya Jana Sangh's founding president, he stated. Mookerjee also opposed Article 370 in Kashmir, which was introduced by the Congress administration at the time, he stated. The chief minister remarked that Deen Dayal Upadhyay carried on the Bharatiya Jana Sangh's objectives and beliefs. Adityanath stated that during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-L K Advani era, the Jana Sangh united with the Janata Party to maintain the country's democracy, but the Janata Party experiment was not entirely successful for a variety of reasons.

The BJP was created in 1980 under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-L K Advani administration, although it only won two seats in the first general election. In 1986, the BJP resolved to sponsor the construction of a great temple in Shri Ram's birthplace of Ayodhya in order to establish cultural nationalism in the country. Adityanath stated that when the BJP's double-engine government took power, a Ram temple was built in Ayodhya. The Ram temple is a 'Rashtra Mandir', and it represents the start of a new age, providing fresh hope to people whose civilization and culture had been stifled and devastated by invaders. If India can realize this ambition 500 years later, persecuted populations throughout the world can too. He stated that India has ignited a fresh lamp of optimism and respected faith.
