16 May (HS): Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, while

giving credit to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the tremendous changes in

Uttar Pradesh after 2017, has said that in the last nine-ten years, under the

leadership of Yogi, Uttar Pradesh has created a new and strong identity in the

entire country.

The

Union Petroleum Minister was addressing the groundbreaking ceremony and

foundation stone laying ceremony of the International Cricket Stadium in

Gorakhpur on Saturday in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He

lavishly praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision and leadership, saying

that the transformation he has witnessed in Uttar Pradesh over the past few

years as a Union Minister is remarkable. He can confidently say that the work

he has seen being done in Uttar Pradesh is unmatched anywhere else in the

country. Under Yogi's leadership, Uttar Pradesh has created a new identity

since 2017, setting an example for other states.

Union

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that Uttar Pradesh was once known

for its population, but now it is known for its development, law and order, and

good governance. Substantial improvements in law and order have instilled new

confidence among investors. The pace of development and employment has

accelerated. He said that Uttar Pradesh has become a preferred destination for

investors.

Sharing

his experience with the PM Awas Yojana as Urban Housing Minister, he said that

before 2017, there was only a demand for 17,000 houses in Uttar Pradesh. After

Yogi became Chief Minister, this demand exceeded 1.7 million. The Union

Minister described the progress made in Uttar Pradesh under the Chief

Minister's leadership in the areas of road, air, metro connectivity, defense

corridors, health infrastructure, and education as remarkable. He also said

that Uttar Pradesh has great potential in the fields of green energy and

compressed biogas (CBG). This is also helpful in increasing farmers' income. He

said that the CBG plants being set up in Uttar Pradesh are realizing the waste

to wealth vision.

Union

Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, describing the Gorakhpur International Cricket

Stadium as a result of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visionary thinking,

said that today not only is the foundation stone of the stadium project being

laid, but the resolve to give a new direction to the dreams and possibilities

of the youth is moving towards fulfillment. He informed that Indian Oil of the

Petroleum Ministry has contributed Rs 60 crore for the construction of the stadium.

Other petroleum companies have also taken up their share of the responsibility.

He said that this stadium will become a center of inspiration for the youth in

the future. New sports talent will be born here and India's future will be

brightened.

On

the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the International

Cricket Stadium, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan,

Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Sports and Youth Welfare (Independent

Charge) Girish Chandra Yadav and local MP Ravi Kishan Shukla also expressed

their views.

On

this occasion, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan,

State Government Cabinet Minister (Fisheries Department) Dr. Sanjay Nishad,

District Panchayat President Sadhna Singh, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava,

Kushinagar MP Vijay Dubey, MLAs Shriram Chauhan, Fateh Bahadur Singh, Rajesh

Tripathi, Mahendrapal Singh, Dr. Vimlesh Paswan, Pradeep Shukla, Sarwan Nishad,
