
- Appeals to Soldiers at Army Training Command Headquarters to Continue Working with Zeal
New Delhi, May 1 (HS): During her Himachal Pradesh visit, President Droupadi Murmu, the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces, visited the Army Training Command headquarters in Shimla on Friday. She was briefed on the quality of training provided to Indian Army personnel and the exemplary role of the Training Command.
GOC-in-C of Training Command, Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, informed the President about developments here, operational efficiency enhancements through soldier training, and new initiatives. He highlighted steps to promote drone training, adopt special technologies, introduce the 'Red Teaming' concept, and efforts toward digitization and automation in the Indian Army.
The President acknowledged the Training Command's crucial role in designing war doctrines, resource development for the Indian Army, and extensive engagement with friendly nations. She described it as an essential initiative for military pride, self-reliance, and a developed India. Through its 32 premier training centers, the Army Training Command bolsters professionalism in the Indian Army, providing a unique perspective on the art and science of warfare.
President Murmu exchanged views with Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma in the presence of Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta on strengthening training in the Indian Army to keep the nation secure and robust. She appealed to the Command to continue working with zeal to enhance the Indian Army's operational preparedness.
The President congratulated all ranks and defense civilians of the Command for their outstanding work and urged them to persist with even greater enthusiasm.
