Guwahati, 09 April (HS): Assam BJP President Dilip Saikia cast his vote on Thursday at his designated polling booth in the Barkhetri Legislative Assembly constituency, emphasizing the importance of strengthening democracy and ensuring the protection and development of Assam.

After exercising his franchise at Booth No. 271, Saikia expressed gratitude to voters across the state for their participation in the democratic process. He highlighted that his vote was dedicated to a healthy democracy and the safeguarding and progress of the Assamese people.

He also appealed to those who had not yet voted to do so at the earliest, urging them to exercise their voting rights before the close of polling at 5 pm.

In a spirited social media message, Saikia invoked cultural sentiments, encouraging people to continue supporting Assam’s journey of development while upholding democratic values.--------
