New Delhi, 08 April (H.S.):

The Delhi High Court expressed strong disapproval of journalist Rana Ayyub's social media posts from 2013-2017 targeting Hindu deities and Vinayak Savarkar, deeming them derogatory, inflammatory, and communal. Justice Purushendra Kumar Kaurav directed Delhi Police and X (formerly Twitter) to take necessary action and issued notices to Ayyub, police, and the Centre, with the next hearing on April 10.

The court emphasized the need for serious consideration and coordinated response from X, Delhi Police, and the Centre.

Sachdeva, a Sanatan Dharma follower, cited seven offensive posts mocking Lord Ram, Sita, Savarkar, and Hindu nationalism while promoting anti-India sentiments. She previously approached Saket Court, which ordered an FIR and investigation; police noted the posts were deleted from X.
