7 April (HS): The Uttar Pradesh government cabinet has approved a monthly

increase of Rs. 8,000 for Shiksha Mitra and instructors working in the Basic

Education Department. This increased honorarium will be paid starting this

month, April. The government has given relief to Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, A total of 22 important proposals have also

been approved , including the proposal regarding eligibility for Indian

citizenship of more than 12,000 families displaced since the time of partition

from Rampur and Bijnor .

A

cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday at Lok Bhavan, chaired by Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath. Following the cabinet meeting, State Finance and Parliamentary

Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh , Minister

of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh, and Forest Minister

Arun Saxena informed journalists about the cabinet decisions at the Lok Bhavan

media center. Minister Khanna stated that the Uttar Pradesh government will

purchase 2.5 million smart tablets, which the cabinet has approved. These

tablets will be distributed free of charge to students studying in Uttar

Pradesh, most of whom will be final-year students. Previously, 6 million smart

phones and tablets have been purchased. He stated that eight proposals from the

Industrial Development Department were presented to the cabinet. All proposals

have been approved. All eight proposals involve investment. These include the

establishment of a solar plant on 100 acres in Bundelkhand, the establishment

of a water plant in Prayagraj with an investment of 231 crore rupees, and the

establishment of a solar cell manufacturing unit.

The

Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved a proposal regarding eligibility for Indian

citizenship for families displaced during the India-Pakistan partition in the

districts of Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Rampur, and Bijnor. These include 2,350

families in Lakhimpur Kheri, 4,000 families in Pilibhit, 3,856 families in 18

villages in Bijnor, and 2,174 families in 16 villages in Rampur.

In a

press conference, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh stated that three

proposals from the Transport Department have been approved. This includes a

proposal for 49 new bus stands under the PPP model. In the first phase, LYs

were issued for 23 bus stands under the PPP model. Today, approval has been

granted for 49 bus stands. A total of 52 districts are being covered. The

Transport Minister stated that these PPP-model bus stands will be airport-like,

with airport-style facilities. In the town of Sikandrarao in Hathras district,

two hectares of Agriculture Department land has been approved for free for a

bus stand. Similarly, a proposal to provide Irrigation Department land in

Dibai, Bulandshahr district, for a bus stand has been approved. Approval has

been given to provide PWD land in Tulsipur, Balrampur district, for the

construction of a bus stand.

Sandeep Singh, Minister of State for

Basic Education (Independent Charge), stated that two proposals from the Basic

Education Department have been approved. The honorarium of all part-time

instructors and Shiksha Mitras has been increased by 8,000 rupees per month.

The honorarium of Shiksha Mitras will now be Rs. 18,000. He stated that

1,42,929 Shiksha Mitras are working in Uttar Pradesh. The central government's

honorarium has been increased for 1,29,332 Shiksha Mitras. The state government

will also bear the additional expenditure of around 30,000 for Shiksha Mitras.

This increase will be effective April 1. The increased honorarium for part-time

instructors working in the state's upper primary schools will also be

implemented April 1. A maximum of 24,716 instructors are employed in 13,769

schools in the state. Instructors were previously receiving Rs. 9,000 per

month. Now, they will receive 17,000 rupees per month.
