Dibrugarh Assam), 27 April (HS): A cyclist was killed on the spot in a road accident in Moran area of Dibrugarh district.

According to police, the incident occurred on a national highway in Moran where an unidentified vehicle hit the cyclist, leading to his instant death. The deceased has been identified as Phukan Chandra De, a resident of Khatkhati.

At the time of the accident, the victim was returning home from a tea garden when the mishap took place. Upon receiving information, a police team rushed to the spot, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered an FIR in connection with the incident and launched a search operation to trace the vehicle involved and the absconding driver.-------------
