Kolkata, April 22 (HS): Yogi Adityanath, Chief

Minister of Uttar Pradesh, stated on Wednesday that over 7,000 significant

enterprises were closed under the TMC's administration in West Bengal, and that

the state, which was once a leader in several areas, has fallen to the bottom. Addressing

an electoral conference in Burrabazar, the senior BJP leader mentioned Nobel

laureate Rabindranath Tagore's family house in Jorasanko area and accused the

TMC of neglecting to recognize its historic status. Bengal, which was once a

beacon of knowledge, has now seen the closure of 7,000 large businesses,

thousands of MSME units, and the loss of jobs for 30 lakh youngsters, he added.

Adityanath said that TMC goondas

had posted photographs of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Tagore's ancestral

home, where the poet spent much of his life and wrote countless literary

masterpieces, calling the conduct an insult. Apart from Tagore, only Bharat

Mata's idol should have been installed there. But TMC does not honor Bharat

Mata because it has no affection for Bharatiya'sanskriti'. It is unfortunate

that the TMC has led Bengal, a predecessor of the Renaissance, to such a state,

he remarked. Adityanath stated that in order to restore West Bengal's lost

prestige on the 150th anniversary of the composition of Vande Mataram, the TMC

administration should be removed and the BJP come to power.

What has the TMC done to commemorate the memory

of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay? It became the Azadi mantra, he

said. Adityanath accused the Congress, the CPI(M), and the TMC of decades of

misgovernance, claiming the state had devolved into a graveyard of

industries and that only a double-engine government could

restore its former significance. He said that a top TMC minister and Firhad

Hakim had spoken in favor of expanding Urdu and said the Bengali identity could

not be jeopardized. Bengali will be the language of Kolkata and Bengal.

Bengali 'ashmita' cannot be harmed by minority-friendly TMC politicians,

he remarked. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister further claimed that the TMC

administration was putting restrictions on religious processions.

Bengal is famed for its devotion to Maa Kali, but the TMC is restricting

Kali and Durga processions and implementing prohibitory orders in numerous

regions, he claimed.

Mamata didi is allergic to the name of Lord Ram and opposes the Ram temple in

Ayodhya. Do you want a government that does not understand our centuries-long

emotional relationship to Bhagwan Ram? he inquired.
