
Darrang (Assam), 22 April (HS): A unique Garbhanga festival showcasing the preservation of traditional heritage and religious customs was held at Pub Chomatiapara in Sipajhar on Wednesday.
The festival was organised at the premises of the Dhoportol Shiva Temple, drawing a large number of devotees and visitors from nearby areas. Known for its cultural significance, the event reflected the deep-rooted traditions associated with the region.
One of the main attractions of the festival was the Garbhanga structure crafted entirely from bamboo. The intricate bamboo construction, prepared with the active participation of local youth, captivated the audience and highlighted the community’s craftsmanship and unity.
The vibrant celebration, enriched by strong youth participation, witnessed a significant turnout as people gathered to witness the unique spectacle and take part in the religious and cultural festivities.-----------
