Prayagraj, April 22 (HS): Attacking
the opposition for the failure to pass the Women's Reservation Bill, Deputy
Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the opposition has created
obstacles to this bill. The SP, Congress, and the TMC are nepotistic parties
with an anti-women mentality. Addressing a press conference at the Circuit
House on Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the SP, Congress, the
TMC, and the DMK have obstructed good work, and this is often done by these
parties. Rahul Gandhi has two women in his family: his mother and sister, both
MPs. Akhilesh Yadav's wife is a Lok Sabha MP. Yet, they opposed the Women's
Reservation Bill. The SP will pay a heavy price in the upcoming 2027 elections.
In 2029, the Congress will be halved, and the TMC will be strongly rebuffed by
the women of West Bengal. There is immense anger among the women of Tamil Nadu.
The support of half the population is essential for any party: The Congress,
the SP, the DMK, and the TMC are fighting for their survival. The BJP's
commitment is to the Women's Reservation Bill. The BJP has done the most to
advance women. Women's anger will spell political doom for the SP and Congress.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the BJP's struggle will continue until
women receive their rights and reservations. No party can win elections without
women's support. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is paving the way for women's
empowerment to reach the pinnacle of leadership. Regarding MP Pappu Yadav's
controversial remarks about women, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that people
speak according to their upbringing. The BJP respects women and ensures their
rights.
The press conference was conducted by spokesperson/district media in-charge
Pawan Srivastava. The vote of thanks was given by District Co-Media In-charge
