Tinsukia (Assam), 22 April (HS): In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, Tinsukia Police carried out a successful anti-drug operation at Panitola town under the Panitola Outpost.

According to the officials information given by Assam Police on Wednesday, acting on reliable input, a police team from Panitola OP under Tinsukia Police Station conducted a raid in the area, leading to the seizure of approximately 9 grams of suspected heroin. However, no one has been caught in the mean time.

During the operation, three mobile phones were also recovered.

Police sources stated that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb the illegal drug trade in the district.

Further investigation is underway to identify those involved and trace the network behind the seized contraband.-----------
