Lucknow, April 22 (HS): Om Prakash Rajbhar, president of the

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and the state's Minority Welfare Minister, said

that SP President Akhilesh Yadav is misleading and deceiving the people of the

state for votes. He said that during Akhilesh's rule, villages only had five

hours of electricity, while cities only had 10 hours of electricity. Only

Rampur, Etawah, and Mainpuri had 24-hour electricity.

On Akhilesh Yadav's announcement of providing 300 units of free electricity if

the SP government is formed, Om Prakash Rajbhar, while talking to the media in

Lucknow on Wednesday, said that with what face he is talking about providing

300 units of electricity. First he should remember his tenure, when his

government was in power, transformers used to get burnt. Villagers used to

donate money and then transformers were replaced. Today that situation is not

there. In the Yogi government, transformers are being changed within 24 hours.

Not a single rupee of the public is being spent. Today, villages are getting

electricity for 18 hours, tehsils for 20 hours and district headquarters for 24

hours. Rajbhar said that what he is saying is a deception, a fraud, a

conspiracy to mislead the society and get votes.

Regarding the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, he said that the Prime Minister's vision

was to bring women into the mainstream of the country by providing them

reservations in 2029. The opposition voted against the bill, and it failed to

pass. When the 543 Lok Sabha seats were created, the country's population was

680 million. Today, the country's population is 1.4 billion. The seats were

being increased based on the 2011 census. The opposition did not agree with

this.
