Jammu, 22 April (H.S.): As per the directions of the Worthy Transport Commissioner J&K, ARTO Udhampur Mudassir Iqbal conducted a comprehensive enforcement drive along the Udhampur–Ramnagar National Highway and adjoining areas of District Udhampur.

During the drive, strict action was taken against traffic violators. A total of 118 vehicles were checked, out of which 17 were e-challaned for various violations under the Motor Vehicles Act. Additionally, 07 vehicles were seized for serious offences.

The enforcement team also recommended suspension of 11 driving licences (DLs) for violations of traffic rules, emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach towards non-compliance.

The expected revenue generated from the e-challans amounts to ₹99,500.

ARTO Udhampur Mudassir Iqbal reiterated the commitment to ensuring road safety and urged all motorists to strictly adhere to traffic rules to avoid legal action.
