Digboi, 21 April (HS): Tension gripped Digboi after angry locals staged a violent protest on the streets, torching two vehicles following the death of a man identified as Akash Tiwari.

The protest erupted as residents came out in large numbers expressing outrage over the incident. Demonstrators set vehicles on fire and blocked roads, disrupting normal life in the area.

A clash broke out between the police and the protesters, leading to a chaotic situation. Security forces attempted to bring the situation under control amid strong resistance from the agitating crowd.

Meanwhile, allegations have surfaced against one Akash Singh, who has been accused of committing the murder. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are taking steps to restore law and order in the region.------------
