21 April (H.S.): A special session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly
will be held on April 30th. The Yogi Adityanath government passed a cabinet
proposal and sent it to the governor. The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly
Secretariat stated on Tuesday that Governor Anandi Ben Patel has granted
permission to convene the session. The second session of the 18th Uttar Pradesh
Legislative Assembly for 2026 will begin on April 30th at 11 a.m. in
the Assembly Hall.
It
is noteworthy that the Yogi government in the state had requested the Governor
to convene a special session. The government will discuss issues related to
women in this session. It will present its efforts to the House and will also
put the opposition in the dock. The government will specifically discuss
women's reservation.
