Sonari (Assam), 21 April (HS): In a shocking and bizarre turn of events, a youth who was reportedly declared dead by police has returned home alive, triggering widespread confusion and sensation in the area.

The youth, identified as Bijoy Kurmi, reportedly cycled back to his residence in Sonari a day after his family had performed his last rites, believing he had died. Earlier, police had informed his elder brother about Bijoy’s death, following which the family brought the dead body from the hospital and conducted the funeral.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn when Bijoy himself appeared at his home the next day on Tuesday, leaving family members stunned and struggling to comprehend the incident .

The incident has sparked intense curiosity and concern in the locality. It remains unclear whose body was actually cremated by Bijoy’s brother, Binod Kurmi, raising serious questions about identification procedures and possible lapses.

Authorities are yet to provide a clear explanation as the mystery deepens around the case.------------
