
Cachar (Assam), 21 April (HS): Police have apprehended four key accused persons in connection with the murder of Luku Miya under Jirighat Police Station area, marking a significant breakthrough in the case.
During the operation, security forces recovered a cache of weapons and other materials from the accused. The seized items include two factory-made 12-bore rifles, one .22 pistol, four rounds of 12-bore ammunition, four rounds of .22 ammunition and three mobile phones.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Saharul Haque Laskar (27), son of Nurul Haque Laskar; Sajul Islam Laskar (26), son of Ainuddin Laskar; Babul Haque Choudhury (34), son of late Ahmed Bask Choudhury—all residents of Jirighat under Jirighat Police Station—and Suzan Aktar Laskar (18), son of Ainul Haque Laskar, a resident of Sonabarighat Dakshin Krishnapur under Rangirkhari Police Station in Cachar district.
Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to ascertain the motive and uncover any wider links related to the crime.------------
